Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy drama film directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film is a remake of the 1976 film Chitchor and features Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles. The film was released on 27 June 2003 and was a critical disaster at the box office. However, Bachchan's performance was well received and earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
The film tells the story of Sanjana (Kareena Kapoor), a girl of today's generation full of life and vibrant ecstasy. She lives life on her own terms and gets very upset when her mother Susheela (Himani Shivpuri), arranges for her to see a boy leading to a marriage prospect. The boy turns out to be Prem Kishen (Hrithik Roshan), an employee in a company owned by another Prem (Abhishek Bachchan), who is the actual match for Sanjana. Sanjana initially dislikes Prem Kishen, but eventually falls in love with him. However, she faces a dilemma when the real Prem arrives and also falls for her. Who will Sanjana choose as her life partner?
